Colorado Solar and Storage Association (COSSA) will be presenting information that can help guide local governments (and others) on becoming Utility Scale Solar ready.  COSSA has extensive knowledge of the market and regulatory framework within the 271 municipalities, 64 counties and 53 electric utilities in Colorado. Additionally, they are proactive in education of solar development and storage.  

This presentation will be an overview  including what solar project proponents look for regarding location siting, what governments should take into account when permitting for solar projects, what considerations should be included (wildlife and habitat impacts, land use, etc), who should be included in the development process, length of development time, life and capacity of utility scale solar farms, economic considerations and decommission plans.
