The Board of County Commissioners of Delta
County, Colorado is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors for final
designs of a gravel, vehicle /trailer parking area, vehicle access and
turn-around with a designated picnic shelter location identified, boat ramp and
rock river structure which will provide safe entry and exit for a variety of
small watercraft. The project is located
along the North Fork of the Gunnison River along the southeastern boundary of
the Delta County Fairgrounds adjacent to Colorado State HWY 92 in Hotchkiss,
Colorado. These plans will provide
County personnel the appropriate means to install and construct the infrastructure
in mid-late summer 2019.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide
information to prospective vendors (hereinafter
referred to as a “Vendor” or “Respondent”) for the submission of sealed bids to
be considered by Delta County (hereinafter
referred to as “County”). Bid
specifications and County Bid forms may be picked up at the Delta County
Attorney’s Office, 550 Palmer Street, #102, Delta, Colorado 81416 from 8:00
a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding the lunch hour between
noon and 1:00 p.m. and legally recognized holidays.Bidders may also obtain bidding documents
through this website (see link below).
Bids must be submitted
on County forms with any additional information attached. All bids shall be marked “DELTA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS RIVER ACCESS, AND
BOAT RAMP FINAL ENGINEERING DESIGN" on the face of the envelope
and hand delivered or mailed to the Delta County Attorney’s Office, 550 Palmer
Street, #102, Delta, CO, 81416, no later than May 24, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. Bids received after
this time SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids will be
publicly opened on May
24, 2019, at 11:00 A.M., Delta County Courthouse, 501 Palmer St., Room 234, Delta,
Colorado. Bids will be presented to the
Delta County Board of County Commissioners for consideration at a regularly
scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference (walk through) will be held on Tuesday,
May 14, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. The pre-bid conference
will be held at the project site. Bidders must participate and record their presence at the pre-bid conference to be allowed to
submit a bid proposal.
The County reserves the right to
reject any bids; to change, add, or amend
the specifications; to waive any informality; to accept the proposal which, in its judgment, best serves
the interest of the County.
