Individuals should check with their physician's office when possible prior to making an appointment. Testing is available for those intending to travel. Testing is also available for asymptomatic, but priority is given to symptomatic individuals, or for people who have been exposed to an individual who tested positive:

Testing is free. Testing is available at North Fork EMS, 110 E. Hotchkiss Avenue, in Hotchkiss on Monday and Wednesday mornings by appointment only. You can make your visit easier by doing the following:

Step 2: Create your lab account online to receive your results.

Step 3: Register Online
Save time at the testing site. Use this link to register before going to North Fork EMS. Once you fill out all the required fields (denoted by the red asterisk), create your "EREQ". Print a copy of the form, or take a screenshot, write down the EREQ number and bring it to your appointment. The test site will need the unique ID number to identify your sample and process your results.
Who should be tested?
It is important for you to get tested if you were around someone who has COVID-19 even if you are symptom-free.
What about results?
Results are processed through Mako Medical. You will be notified immediately when your results have been processed. You will be contacted using the information you provided during your account creation (Step 2 above). Current turnaround time approximately two days from the time the sample is received at the lab. If you have not received your results after four days, then you can visit their online portal to check the status of your test.
After you’ve been tested
- If you have been exposed, follow the quarantine guidance.
