Delta County Restaurant Scores

Delta County Health Department uses a point system to rate restaurants and other eating places in Delta County. Each restaurant starts out with 100 points at each inspection. Points are subtracted for each violation found at the time of the restaurant’s regular inspection.
  • At an inspection visit, a restaurant loses points based on the number and type of violations of the Colorado Retail Food Service Regulations.
  • Critical violations are worth 5 points and are those areas most likely to cause foodborne illness.
  • Less critical violations are worth 1 point.
  • The total violations noted during a regular inspection are subtracted from 100. This gives the score for the restaurant.
