Navigating This Website:

 

How do I navigate through this website?

Scroll over the green tabs at the top of the page.  A dropdown menu will appear under each tab showing the different subcategories within each category.  Click on the page you wish to select, and the page will open.  There are also quicklink buttons located in the left column and across the bottom of the main webpage.

How do I sign up to be notified of County News Alerts?
Click on the "RSS" button at the bottom of the County News column on the main web page and enter your contact information.  You will automatically be notified of any new alerts as they are published.

How do I sign up to be notified of other items of interest?
Click on the "Notify Me" link in the left column of the County's home page to see what options are available for automatic notification.  Follow the instructions to select notification categories.

 

How do I find a directory of all of the County Departments?

Click on the “County Directory” link in the left column of the County’s home page, or click on the “Contact Us” link in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

 

How do I find the County’s elected officials?

Scroll over the “Your Government” tab at the top of the page, and select “Elected Officials.”

 

How do I find a document on the website?

Click on the “Document Center” or "Archive Center" link in the upper right-hand corner of the page.  You will see a list of categories .  Click on a category, and all related documents will be listed .  Click on a document name, and the document will open for viewing.

 

How do I search for a document that has been recorded with the Clerk and Recorder’s Office?

Click on the “Search Recorded Documents” link in the left column of the County’s home page.  If you are not at the Home page, click anywhere in the “Delta County, Colorado” bar at the top of the page to return to the Home page, then click on the “Search Recorded Documents” link in the left column.

 

How do I search for property information in Delta County?

Click on the “Search Property Records” link in the left column of the County’s home page.  If you are not at the Home page, click anywhere in the “Delta County, Colorado” bar at the top of the page to return to the Home page, then click on the “Search Recorded Documents” link in the left column.

 

What if I don’t find what I’m looking for?

Type in your search words in the Search box located in the left column of the page and press “Go” to search the whole website.  Results will be displayed related to your search.  Remember, enclosing a phrase in quotations marks will allow results for that particular phrase and better zero in on your search.

How do I register my vehicles?

How do I apply for a Colorado driver’s license?

The Colorado Driver’s License office is located in the basement of the Delta Courthouse (970-874-9795).  Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.  The office is closed on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.  Please call to make an appointment for a driving test. 

 

How do I register to vote?

How do I pay my property taxes?

You have a choice of paying your property taxes in one payment or two. If you choose to pay in one payment, that payment is due by April 30th. If you choose to pay in two payments, the first half is due February 28th and the second half is due by June 15th. You may pay in person at the Treasurer’s Office in Delta or at the County Annex Building in Hotchkiss, or you may mail your payment to the Treasurer’s Office. Postmarks are accepted for payment deadlines. We accept cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, or certified funds. Be aware, however, that correct change may not always be available at the County Annex Building. Credit card or e-check payment may be made through Official Payments Corp. at 1800-272-9829 or visit www.officialpayments.com.  Use jurisdiction code 1609. A 3% convenience fee applies.

How do I know what positions are open?

Click on the “Employment” Quicklink button in the left column.  Any available positions will be posted here, along with related job descriptions and application form.

How to I sign up to be notified of new job openings?
Click on "Employment" Quicklink button in the left column of the main web page.  Select the button at the top of the page to be notified of new job postings and fill out your contact information.  You will automatically be notified when job postings are published.  You can also sign up through the "Notify Me" Quicklink button in the left column of the main web page.  Follow the instructions to select the category for which you wanted to be notified.
 

How do I apply for a job?

You can fill out the Employment Application online, print it, and mail or deliver it to the Human Resources Department.  You can also print the blank Application and fill it out by hand.  All current job openings can be found by clicking on the “Employment” Quicklink button in the left column.
